about the talks:
'I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.' C.S.Lewis
Our January/February series of talks and discussions focuses on some key objections to Christianity addressed in Tim Keller’s best-selling book THE REASON FOR GOD. Our aim is to allow sceptics, agnostics and believers to take a careful look at these objections, to hear the Christian response and explore Christian belief.
If there is a God, and one who is all that Christians claim in their historic creeds, nothing - and no-one - is more significant. To see God at the centre of all things, and Christ as Lord, brings about a “Copernican revolution” in our thinking and living: we place him and not ourselves at the centre of all things… and it makes a profound difference. But is there such a God? And, if so, what difference does that God make?
Our goal is give people the chance to reflect on the ‘big picture’ questions of life in a context which allows for robust, honest, critical and courteous discussion.
Tim Keller will be speaking in Cambridge on: Sat 6th March (6pm & 8pm, Great St Mary’s Church) and Sun 7th March (6pm & 8pm, Corn Exchange) as part of ‘A Passion for Life’. Anyone in the city is welcome to attend; more details at the talks.
Christian Heritage continues its schedule of regular events with The Reason for God. Life-in-the-Round aims to provide a setting in which skeptics, agnostics, and believers can examine and explore Christian belief, its implications and its alternatives in the 21st century.
